One day several years ago I reviewed the Urban Eatery in the Toronto Eaton Centre. I walked there myself, and learned all about it. Now there is another eating area in the city, are you ready for it. It is at Union Station. After many years it has opened. It used to be a pit. Now it is opened to the public. I went down there by myself and I reviewed the food outlets there are in there. Here is my culinary review:
Alright we’ve made it. This will be the final wrap-up report for this year until the Best of 2018 countdown closer to the end of December, and any songs released in this next month are gonna be considered for judgement in 2019. So let’s see what squeaked in under the wire in the second half of November.
It’s almost time to wrap things up for 2018 with only a few noteworthy releases left this year and none of them seem particularly appealing. In all likelihood I could probably solidify my year-end countdown now, but I’ll hold out hope for any stragglers that might pop up in the next few weeks.
Let’s not bury the lede here: the histrionics over the NPC meme are absolutely ridiculous.
It’s ridiculous that those who promulgate it believe that they’ve uncovered a great truth about the human condition, because this is a long rehashed idea and the fact that it’s making any sort of headline is laughable.
It is also ridiculous that some people believe that it’s a weaponized political tactic.
Also, I’m a little bit jealous, because observing and satirizing mass trends in pop culture has been my bread and butter for years, and a lot of the ideas that have emerged from this meme have been jabs that I’ve taken many times.
The year’s slowly starting to wind down with only a few more notable releases on the horizon. October’s second half was fairly dry, with not too much to talk about.
