3.152: The Sticky Tape Saga, Part III


Recently two major media conglomerates in Canada had to change the verbiage used in their rejection emails due to complaints from applicants.  They were getting emails that said “we have chosen a candidate with skills and experience better suited to the position”, which got a whole lot of people angry because it was effectively dismissing their skills and experience. Now the emails contain the simple, brusque “the position has been filled”. Still not a fun email to get but the message isn’t insulting now. Good job, PR crews.
